Cowes One-Design Classes

The one-design dayboat classes are very much the life-blood of the Cowes racing scene, providing close racing throughout the season and forming the core of the strong dayboat section of Cowes Week.

Cowes is fortunate to have a choice of popular dayboat classes – the Daring, Dragon, Etchells, and Sonar all offer good racing and extensive social programmes.

The Dragon, Etchells, and Sonar are all ISAF International or Recognised classes and Cowes regularly hosts regional, national, and international events for these classes.

The Daring Class is unique, in being a one-design version of a 5.5 metre and being exclusive to Cowes where a fleet of over 30 boats races every weekend throughout the season.

Click the links in the menu bar to see more on each class, including a video overview on each together with class contact details.
