Boat Handling in Confined Waters

Many people find that getting their boat out of its berth at the start of a day on the water, and berthing it safely at the end of the trip, can be the most stressful parts of the day.

Boat handling is relatively straightforward once you are clear of confined spaces and have the time and space to do things at your own pace, but manoeuvring in a marina or onto a buoy or pile mooring can be complicated.

However, slow speed handling need not be stressful provided you follow a few simple guidelines and practise handling your boat at slow speeds.
